Collated screw strips for magazine attachments

Collated screw strip holds screws together on a plastic strip, so a magazine attachment feeds and drives them one at a time. That saves time above all on repetitive work. Boarding out plasterboard, fixing subfloors or fitting panelling runs in one continuous movement, without picking up a screw and setting it on the bit each time. The screws also stay clean and in order when you are working from a scaffold or a ladder.

The strip is machine specific. Makita, HiKOKI, Fein, DeWalt, Bosch, Spit and Festool each use their own strip and pitch, so match the collated screw strip to the attachment you use. Then choose the screw itself. Fine thread bites into metal profiles, coarse thread into wood and wood based boards, and the length follows from the board thickness plus enough penetration into the carrier. Common lengths run from 25 to 55 mm.

Loose screws for the same work sit under screws, including the timber construction screw for structural woodwork.
